On 27 November 2025, the European Commission published a call for expressions of interest for civil society representatives to participate in the Paediatric Committee of the European Medicines Agency (EMA). The call concerns the representation of patients' and healthcare professionals' organisations. The EMA Paediatric Committee deals with issues related to the development of medicines for children. The inclusion of civil society representatives aims to increase transparency and public involvement in decision-making processes related to paediatric medicine. Interested relevant organisations can apply through a call for applications published by the European Commission. This initiative allows patient organisations and healthcare professionals to actively participate in the development of policy in the field of paediatric pharmacology.
