The PREVENT-PE study is an open randomized controlled trial aimed at preventing preeclampsia by planned delivery at term.[1] Planned preterm delivery based on preeclampsia risk stratification reduced the incidence of preeclampsia.[1] This intervention does not lead to an increase in emergency caesarean section.[1] There was also no higher income for the neonatal care department.[1] The study confirms the effectiveness of this approach in women at high risk of preeclampsia.[1] The main findings show the safety and effectiveness of planned birth without negative effects on the mother or the newborn.[1]
