Cervical pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy in which the embryo implants in the cervix. In the case of a 38-year-old female patient, the diagnosis was confirmed by ultrasonography and increased levels of beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG). Treatment consisted of systemic administration of methotrexate (50 mg/m²) in combination with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to promote blood circulation and remove tissue stasis. Profuse vaginal bleeding requiring transfusion occurred during treatment, but surgery was not required. β-hCG levels gradually decreased, the gestational sac disappeared completely by ultrasound, and menstruation resumed 18 days after the end of treatment. Combined therapy of MTX and TCM may be an effective option for fertility preservation in carefully selected patients with cervical pregnancy. Further research is needed to standardize the dosage of herbs and clarify their pharmacological effects.
