The WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean organized a four-day workshop to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) literacy for emergency management in the region. The goal was to improve the ability to use tools to manage information about various hazards during emergency situations. The workshop supported more effective use of AI technologies to improve response and coordination in case of emergency events. Participants gained practical knowledge about the application of AI in risk and crisis management. This initiative is part of a broader WHO effort to increase the preparedness and resilience of countries in the Eastern Mediterranean region against various threats. The event also promoted the exchange of experience and best practices among experts from different countries of the region. The workshop contributes to the development of digital capacities in the field of public health and emergency management.
