Displaced populations include refugees who flee their country due to conflict or persecution. Another group is internally displaced people who are forced to leave their homes but remain within their country's borders. This also includes migrants who crossed the borders of their country without formal legal status. They include those who are awaiting a decision on their claim for protection.
