SereNeuro Therapeutics reported promising results for SN101, an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived therapy for the treatment of chronic osteoarthritis pain. SN101 uses lab-grown nociceptors that act as sponges to absorb inflammatory pain factors. These cells do not send pain signals. In addition, they release regenerative molecules that protect the joint tissue. This therapy differs from traditional corticosteroids and single-targeted drugs such as Nav1.8 inhibitors because it offers disease-modifying potential. SN101 does not block pain pathways, but rather absorbs inflammatory factors in a targeted manner.
