World leaders have taken on 80. At the 80th UN General Assembly, world leaders adopted a historic global declaration on non-communicable diseases and mental health. The Declaration was launched at the fourth UNGA High-Level Meeting on the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases and the Promotion of Mental Health and Well-being. The event was held on 25 September 2025. It is a policy statement aimed at combating NCDs and mental health challenges. The approach is fully integrated. As a result, intergovernmental negotiations are taking place in advance of this meeting.
