In-hospital video consultations were implemented quickly, in part during the COVID-19 pandemic.[1] Virtual consultations have allowed the doctor to see patients in their home environment, including pets, and while at work or on vacation.[1] As an electrophysiologist, the author treats children, adults, and families with heart rhythm disorders and inherited heart disease, often involving long-term lifelong follow-up of patients.[1] The commitment to go to the hospital is great for such patients, so the author, in cooperation with a colleague, founded a hybrid clinic combining remote and in-person examinations according to the needs of the patients.[1] The authors state that not all patients are suitable for video consultations and there are limitations to their use and suitability.[1]
