The authors read with great interest the seminar by Inona Novak and her colleagues on cerebral palsy. The seminar provides a broad and eloquent overview of many aspects of this disease. In width, however, the paper loses in depth. This loss was reflected in the Early Detection Diagnostics section, including Figure 1. For infants younger than 5 months (adjusted age), the seminar authors recommend two neurologic examinations. These are the General Movements Assessment (GMA) and the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE).
