A large Canadian longitudinal study has shown an association between the risk of obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) and mental disorders in middle-aged and older adults. A high risk of OSA was associated with approximately 40% higher adjusted odds of mental disorders. The study focused on middle-aged and older adults. The findings confirm the relationship between sleep apnea and mental health.
