Increasingly, patients are consulting their health issues with artificial intelligence. Doctors should follow suit and use AI as well. The volume of new medical studies is too large for individual doctors to absorb on their own. AI can study millions of pages of peer-reviewed publications and keep track of the latest developments in medicine. It helps in diagnosis, for example, outperforming doctors in tests according to Harvard and Stanford studies, with a margin of error of only 1 percent versus 10 percent for pathologists. In practice, it suggests chemotherapy parameters based on biomarkers or predicts risks such as heart failure from ECGs. It saves time for physicians and pharmacists, reduces costs and increases efficiency, with the physician having the final decision.
