General practitioner Helen Eisenhauer has been struck off the UK medical register for five months. This was due to her booking fake appointments with patients so that she could leave work on time to pick up her children from their school club. The forty-three year old doctor consulted with two patients by telephone on the morning of 17 July 2024. However, she booked them fake face-to-face appointments in the afternoon in order to finish the surgery by 4.45pm. She scheduled one patient for 4.30pm, later changing the appointment for the second patient. She worked at Stenhouse Medical Centre in Arnold, near Nottingham. She told the Medical Practitioners Tribunal that she was concerned about the impact of the orders on her finishing time.
