The study analyzed 270 publications from the Web of Science Core Collection (2000–2024) on the association between oral health and frailty using bibliometric methods and CiteSpace software. The main contributor at the country level was Japan, followed by China and the United States of America. The most productive institutions were the University of London and the Japanese institutions, with the most prolific and most cited author being Professor Hirohiko Hirano. The journal Gerodontology published the most studies, while the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society had the most influence. Key topics included tooth loss as a risk factor, the association of oral health with frailty and its impact on quality of life. Research is decentralized with limited international cooperation and there is a lack of standardization of assessment tools. Future studies should investigate the synergistic effects of oral health interventions with frailty management.
