Tatiana Schlossberg, daughter of Caroline Kennedy and granddaughter of President John F. Kennedy, died at age 35 of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).[3][4][6] The diagnosis was announced to her after giving birth in May 2024.[1][2][3] In November 2024, she reported on this in the essay "Fighting with My Blood" in The New Yorker magazine, published on the 62nd anniversary of her grandfather's assassination.[1][2][6] According to doctors, she had less than a year to live, despite treatment including a bone marrow transplant and chemotherapy.[1][5] She lived a healthy lifestyle, running, skiing and swimming in the Hudson River in support of the Leukemia Foundation.[1][2][3] She was a journalist focusing on environmental issues and the mother of two children born in 2022 and 2024.[4][6] The family announced her death through the social media of the JFK Library Foundation.[4][6]
