Deborah Birx argues that public health data should be as accessible and intuitive as a weather forecasting app.[1] During her tenure as the White House's coronavirus response coordinator, there was a "parallel data set" on Covid-19 that was fed to President Donald Trump.[1] Birx said she saw the president present graphs that she never created.[1] He suspects that some of this data was provided by Scott Atlas, a physician with no prior experience in infectious diseases.[1] Birx wrote more than 310 daily messages to senior White House leaders, taking detailed notes of each meeting.[1] She is not sure if Trump read them because she had minimal contact with him.[1]
