The UK government is introducing the chickenpox vaccination for children in response to growing skepticism about vaccination. From January 2, general medical practices offer the combined MMRV vaccine (against measles, mumps, rubella, and chicken pox) to children born after 2020. Children born after January 1, 2021 are given the first dose at 12 months of age and the second at 18 months of age. Two benefits are offered to children born between July 1 and December 31, 2024: the first at the age of 18 months and the second at the age of 3 years and 4 months. Children born between 1 September 2022 and 30 June 2024 are offered one benefit at the age of 3 years and 4 months.[1][2][4]
