The threat of climate change and its negative effects on human health and the planet are at the forefront of health organizations around the world. The integration of climate change content into health professions education is supported by evidence from academic journals and health organizations. Many medical schools have not yet incorporated this content into their curriculum. In 2024, the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine partnered with the university's Center for Advanced Interdisciplinary Education and Practice and its Council on Planetary Health to create two interdisciplinary educational events. These events introduced medical students and other health professions to the impacts of the climate crisis on human health and the environment through a common cross-disciplinary curriculum. This descriptive study analyzes post-event surveys and qualitative data to examine findings and recommendations for future event planning.
