AI has begun creating drug-like antibodies.[1] This progress may lead to a revolution in biopharmaceutics.[1] Scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) used generative artificial intelligence to design new molecules atom by atom.[1] The proposed agents target antibiotic-resistant bacteria such as the gonococcal strain that causes gonorrhea and MRSA staph.[1] Selected molecules underwent laboratory tests on bacteria and experiments on mice infected with resistant strains.[1] Two new compounds successfully eradicated infections.[1] This discovery opens up new possibilities in the fight against superbugs.[1]
