The report points out that more than 700,000 women are waiting for gynecological care in Great Britain. Women living in the poorest, i.e. the most disadvantaged areas of the country wait the longest. Waiting lists have also grown significantly among black and Asian women. The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG) says waiting times in gynecology are still in crisis. According to the report, the government has repeatedly declared its commitment to address access to gynecological care. Compared to November 2024, the total number of people waiting has decreased by only about 3%. Women from the most disadvantaged areas make up more than 15% of the entire list, while only 7% of those waiting come from the least disadvantaged areas.
