Stanfordskí vedci vyvinuli systém umelej inteligencie, ktorý dokáže z údajov z jednej noci spánku odhadnúť budúce riziko niektorých ochorení. AI analyzes detailed physiological signals during sleep and looks for hidden patterns in the activity of the brain, heart and breathing. Based on these patterns, it can predict an increased risk of conditions such as cancer, dementia and heart disease. The results show that early warning signs of diseases appear in the body during sleep. Until now, doctors have largely overlooked these signals because they have not focused on such a detailed analysis of sleep data. The study thus suggests that a single measurement during sleep can provide important information about future health risk.
