The case report describes the case of a woman in her 40s with a history of advanced lung cancer (stage IV) who was in long-term remission. The patient developed severe pneumonia, and six weeks after discharge, her CT scan revealed persistent consolidation in the right upper lobe of the lung with an internal cavity. For four weeks, she was administered nebulized autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) using a compressor nebulizer. Platelet-rich plasma contains growth factors and cytokines that promote tissue repair and immune system modulation. Serial CT imaging demonstrated rapid reduction and subsequent resolution of consolidation with closure of the cavitary defect. The patient did not experience any bronchial irritation or other adverse effects. The findings support the need for further investigation of the regenerative potential of nebulized PRP in the treatment of lung diseases, especially in patients with previous oncological or radiation lung damage.
