In this phase 3 randomized controlled trial, Vietnamese adults with tuberculous meningitis who were HIV-negative were stratified by LTA4H genotype. The aim was to assess whether this genotype influences the response to adjunctive dexamethasone. The study was published in Nature Medicine on January 15, 2026. Results were not significantly better by genotype.
