The proportion of spending on newer biologics prescribed by nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs) in dermatology has tripled over the past decade. Scientists reported this based on an analysis of data from MedPage Today. These biologics are used to treat dermatological conditions. Growth in the share of spending on such drugs attributed to NPs and PAs is rapid. The study highlights a significant increase in their involvement in prescribing. The main finding is a threefold increase compared to the previous period. This trend reflects changes in the practice of dermatology.
