The author suggested last week that Filipino journalist Maria Ressa, winner of the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize, is a good place to start for a guide to health policy advocacy. Her 2022 book How to Stand up to a Dictator is a memoir, but much more. Another writer who is getting a lot of attention, at least in the UK, is Naomi Alderman and her book Don't Burn Anyone Today from 2025. Alderman is a classical scholar, writer and broadcaster. Although Ressa and Alderman write from different points of view, their goals coincide. The article is a commentary entitled Offline: Information — crisis, what crisis?.
