Former executives of Zynex, Inc. were charged with health care fraud and securities law violations.[1] Accused managers Sandgaard and Lucsok caused Zynex to submit millions of dollars in fraudulent invoices for medical devices and supplies that were not actually provided.[1] The cases involve fraud against federal and state health insurance companies.[1] The charges were brought by a federal grand jury in Providence, Rhode Island.[1] Similar cases of health care fraud have occurred at other health care facilities in Rhode Island, including pain clinics and addiction treatment centers.[1]
