The likelihood of acute aortic dissection (AAD), or aortic aneurysm rupture, increased rapidly after days of cooler ambient temperatures. This finding came from an extensive study from Tokyo. Aortic disorders are more likely after cold temperatures. Extremely cold days with temperatures below... significantly increase the risk of these emergencies. The study analyzed data from a large number of cases in Tokyo. The main finding confirms the connection between the drop in temperatures and the increase in the incidence of aortic complications.
