A 16-year-old boy in India had a mature canine tooth removed in an unusual place in his left eye. The tooth grew in the upper eye socket between the eyelid and the eyebrow. The case was published in an ophthalmology journal. This is probably the first documented case of this kind. The tooth was fully developed and placed in an abnormal position. The removal was successful. The case highlights a rare anomaly of dental development in the eye area.
