Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was associated with lower overall mortality among women with breast cancer, according to a retrospective cohort study. The study included more than 1.5 million women between the ages of 40 and 64. Medicaid expansion improved access to health care for these patients. The results showed a decrease in breast cancer mortality in the expansion group. The study was published on MedPage Today.
