The study explored the views of 21 educators and managers at Taif University in Saudi Arabia on the implementation of interprofessional education (IPE) to improve the knowledge and skills of future health professionals. Research conducted through semi-structured interviews between October 2024 and February 2025 revealed that educators with prior IPE experience and the presence of a simulation center are perceived as strengths. Opportunities identified included improving collaboration between different health programs and with hospital physicians. The main obstacles were logistical problems, staff resistance, bureaucratic processes, hierarchy and the lack of a university hospital. The vast majority of participants had a positive attitude towards the introduction of IPE into healthcare programmes. The researchers recommend using educators with IPE experience to raise awareness and for decision makers to address the identified challenges.
