The study analyzed the global burden of dermatitis from 1990 to 2021 using Global Burden of Disease 2021 data, including prevalence, incidence and DALYs (disability-adjusted life years). In 2021, the age-standardized prevalence rate (ASPR) was 3,075.1 per 100,000 (EAPC = -0.14), incidents 405 million (95% CI: 356–467 million) with an ASIR rate of 4,945 per 100,000 (EAPC = 0.04), and DALYs 8.18 million (95% CI: 356–467 million). UI: 4,85 – 13,0 milióna) s ASDR 106,2 na 100 000 (EAPC = -0,18). ASPR and ASDR were highest in high SDI (socio-demographic index) regions and lowest in low SDI regions, while ASIR was negatively correlated with SDI. Prevalence peaked at age 5-9 years and the burden was higher in men, with a sharp increase in DALYs in persons ≥ 65 years especially in low/low median SDI regions. Projections to 2040 suggest a slight increase in ASIR to 4,966 per 100,000 and a decrease in ASDR to 103 per 100,000. Despite growth in absolute cases, age-standardized rates are falling, indicating improvements in diagnosis and therapy, but disparities by SDI, age, and gender persist. Na zníženie rozdielov je potrebná posilnená prevencia v krajinách s nízkymi a strednými príjmami.
