On World Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) Day, the World Health Organization (WHO) warns that millions of people living with NTDs face profound and often invisible suffering. This suffering is caused by discrimination, social stigma and untreated mental health conditions. WHO and its partners are calling on governments to integrate mental health care into efforts to eliminate NTDs. The goal is to ensure that no one is left behind in pain or isolation. Communities are coming together to address the stigma and discrimination affecting people with neglected tropical diseases.
