ECDC and WHO/Europe renewed their joint commitment to strengthen European health security and public health cooperation. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on January 29, 2026 in Stockholm. The signing took place at the ECDC-WHO/Europe annual coordination meeting. This document confirms their joint efforts in the field of public health. The aim is to improve health security in Europe through closer cooperation. The signing follows on from the previous activities of both organizations in the prevention and control of diseases.
