Senators expressed concerns about TrumpRx in a letter to the HHS watchdog.[5] They are requesting a review of TrumpRx by the Office of Inspector General at the Department of Health and Human Services.[1] TrumpRx is a government website launched in October 2025 that allows patients to buy select drugs directly from manufacturers at discounted prices without insurance.[4][5] Examples of discounts include Repatha from $573 to $239, Advair Diskus from $265 to $89, Januvia from $330 to $100, Mayzent from $9987 to $1137, and Plavix from $756 to $16.[2] Sanofi offers insulin products for $35 a month through TrumpRx.[2] In November 2025, agreements were announced with Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk where Ozempic costs $350 per month instead of $1000.[5] These lower prices are expected to save the Medicare program $6 billion annually starting January 1, 2026, and reduce patient spending by $1.5 billion in 2026.[5]
