The 2025 Wakley–Wu Lien Teh Prize was awarded to a commentary titled “2025 Wakley–Wu Lien Teh Prize Winner: Beyond Precision Medicine”. Organizers have invited essays that present a "profile of future doctors" and suggest a way forward in the transforming world of medicine. Of the 217 submissions, many discussed the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and other medical technologies. These contributions addressed the changing role of physicians and the dynamic between patients and physicians. Other topics included caring for the well-being of doctors in a high-pressure work environment.
