This is a correction article to the paper by McLellan F. entitled "Concerns about global NCD negotiations" published in Lancet 2025; 406: 1076–77. The world report corrects the second sentence of the second paragraph to read: "NCDs cause an estimated 43 million deaths annually, which is almost 75% of all deaths worldwide." Further, the fourth sentence of the second paragraph is corrected to read: "The four major non-communicable diseases – cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic respiratory disease and diabetes – together cause more than 35 million deaths per year." These corrections have been made to the online version as of 29 January 2026. The article does not contain further details or the main findings of the study.
