MMS is touted as a miracle cure, but new research shows it is a toxic disinfectant.[1][2] It can kill bacteria, but only works at levels that harm human cells and beneficial gut microbes.[1] Researchers warn that homemade MMS mixes are dangerous because of wildly inconsistent dosing.[1] The study describes MMS as a case of high risks and zero benefits.[1] After consumption, there is a risk of burns of the digestive tract, perforation of the esophagus and stomach.[1][2][3] The concentration in Protocol 3000 reaches 24 ppm, which is 30 times the FDA limit for bottled water.[2] Health authorities, including the FDA, Health Canada and Czech institutions, warn against its use due to reported health damage.[2][3]
