The 2026 Winter Olympics take place from 6 to 22 February in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.[3] The Paralympic Winter Games are held later, from 6 to 15 March 2026 in the same cities.[1] Around 665 athletes compete in 6 different sports at the Paralympic Games.[2] The Czech team at the Paralympic Games counts on at least 21 athletes.[2] The opening ceremony of the Winter Paralympics will take place at the Amphitheater in Verona on 6 March, while the closing ceremony will take place on 15 March, possibly in Cortina d'Ampezzo.[5] Sports at the Paralympic Games are divided into three basic categories according to the type of disability: visually impaired, standing and sitting.[2]
