A New York jury has handed down its first verdict against a provider of sex services for minors. She hit $2 million to a 22-year-old woman who had a mastectomy as a teenager. The plaintiff accused the psychologist and the plastic surgeon of violating standard procedures. These led to a double mastectomy as part of gender transformation, which, according to her, disfigured her. This is the first malpractice verdict against providers of gender-affirmative care for minors. The trial lasted three weeks, and the only reporter who attended the entire trial was Benjamin Ryan of the Free Press. The verdict was rendered by a jury in Westchester County.[1][2][3][4]
