Study supports personalized monitoring of colon polyp recurrence risk. The risk of recurrence of precancerous polyps after their removal depends on the characteristics of the patient, the time since polypectomy and the biological characteristics of the polyps. For some groups of patients, the risks persist for more than ten years. These findings suggest the need for tailored surveillance rather than standard intervals. The study analyzed factors influencing recurrence after polyp removal. A personalized approach makes it possible to better adapt monitoring to the individual risk profile of patients.
