The ADVENT-LTO study provides 4-year long-term follow-up results of participants in the original ADVENT study. This study compared pulsed field ablation with conventional thermal ablation in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. Pulsed field ablation maintained its effectiveness for the full four years. Conventional thermal ablation served as the reference method. The results confirm the long-term effectiveness of pulse ablation in the treatment of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. The study was published in Nature Medicine on February 6, 2026.
