A study published in the journal Nature Medicine explored the possibilities of artificial intelligence in cardiology. The research included 9 general cardiologists and 107 real patient cases. Doctors were provided with the help of a specially adapted large language model in solving complex cardiology cases. The results showed that the answers of the doctors with the support of artificial intelligence were better than the answers without this support. The quality of the answers was evaluated by specialized cardiologists using a detailed scoring rubric. The study thus demonstrates the potential of language models in improving complex cardiology care and patient management.
