The study investigated the effectiveness of the Jigsaw method in improving medical students' knowledge of nutrition, particularly fat-soluble vitamins (A, K) and B complex (B1, B2, B6, biotin, niacin). 176 biochemistry students (10 men, 166 women) in the MD doctoral program participated. It was a descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective study with convenience sampling. ANOVA results showed significant differences in expert group scores (F = 11.07, p < 0.001) and assignment scores (F = 4.24, p = 0.006), but not in presentation scores (F = 1.08, p = 0.358). Pearson's correlation showed a strong positive association between assignment, presentation and total score. The Jigsaw method improved student engagement, understanding and collaboration in biochemical topics. The study was limited to one institution, and multicenter, longitudinal, controlled research is recommended.
