The article is a call for papers entitled "Geopolitics of Global Health". He marks the year 2025 as the dismantling of the global health architecture, while the year 2026 is to be a year of reimagining and reform. Funding, multilateral institutions and the norms-based international order have been undermined, costing lives. The biggest damage was the idea of collective action in the field of health. Threats such as climate change, conflict, economic inequality, unlimited technology and demographics are common challenges of a connected world, but they are often misunderstood. Self-interest, uncertainty and division are reinforced by populism, nativism and authoritarianism, which erodes confidence in global governance. Global leadership in health has historically emerged without the dominance of balance of power politics and ideological rivalry, but today solidarity is fading and health has become a by-product.
