Novo Nordisk and Hims & Hers are in a legal dispute over the supply of slimming drugs.[1][2] Novo Nordisk announced the end of its collaboration with Hims & Hers, which lasted just over a month, due to the fact that Hims & Hers, according to Novo, was offering illegitimate and counterfeit versions of Wego's drugs manufactured by foreign suppliers in China.[4][5][6] Hims & Hers offers the combination pill with semaglutide for $49 in the first month and $99 thereafter, which is significantly less than the $149 that Novo Nordisk sells the initial dose for through its direct sales channel.[1] Novo Nordisk alleges that Hims & Hers violates the law and misleads consumers, claiming that the products endanger patient safety and health.[1][4] Hims & Hers, on the other hand, argues that its preparations have a "personalized" dosage and are therefore legal.[1] The dispute had a negative impact on the stock markets, with Hims & Hers shares falling by 35 percent and Novo Nordisk shares by 5.5 percent.[8]
