Nurses said they could return to hospital jobs if employers instituted adequate staffing, flexible scheduling and better wages with benefits. A cross-sectional study suggested this based on responses from approximately 1,700 registered nurses (RNs) who had recently left hospital work. Nurses who left hospitals could thus return to practice. The study highlighted the importance of these changes for their return.[1]
