Sanofi replaces Paul Hudson as CEO.[1][2][4] The company's board of directors decided not to continue his mandate at the meeting on February 11.[1] Hudson will step down at the end of the business day on February 17.[1][4] The new CEO will be Belén Garijo, who will take office at the end of the general meeting on April 29.[1][2][4] Garijo has been the CEO of Merck KGaA since 2021 and previously worked for 15 years at Sanofi, including the position of Vice President of Pharmaceutical Operations in Europe and Canada.[1][4] Olivier Charmeil, Executive Vice President of Generic Medicines, will serve as interim CEO during the transition period.[1][4] The company thanked Hudson for his contributions over the past six years.[1]
