Talkiatry, a telepsychiatry care provider, raised $130 million in a Series C investment round led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Perceptive Advisors and debt financing from Banc of California.[1][3][4] It has raised a total of $245 million so far.[1][3][4] Founded in 2020 in New York, it employs more than 300 fully qualified psychiatrists operating in 43 US states.[1][2][3] It offers insurance-covered services for conditions such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, OCD and PTSD, and is in network with more than 60 health plans covering over 70% of US commercial policyholders.[1][2][4] Since launch, it has made over a million patient visits, including for underserved populations.[2][3][4] According to a National Insurance Cohort analysis, Talkiatry patients had 68% lower hospitalization rates, 32% fewer emergency room visits, and a savings of approximately $700 per member per month in total care costs compared to other providers.[3][4] The funding will support the expansion of an outcomes-based model of mental health care.[3][4]
