A large cohort study showed that aspirin was associated with a 29% lower incidence of a life-threatening pregnancy complication. The study took place in health care systems where most pregnant women are at high or moderate risk of preeclampsia. Health systems with such patients may benefit from universal dosing of aspirin. The incidence of preeclampsia was significantly lower in the aspirin group. The study was presented at a meeting in Las Vegas, according to MedPage Today.
