The study compared chemerin levels in fifty psoriasis patients and twenty-eight healthy subjects. The research found that the serum concentration of chemerin was significantly higher in psoriasis patients compared to the control group. A positive statistically significant correlation was observed between chemerin levels and C-reactive protein, as well as between chemerin levels and platelets in patients with psoriasis. However, the researchers did not see a significant correlation between chemerin levels and psoriasis severity scores. The results suggest that chemerin may play a role in the inflammatory process of psoriasis. Chemerin levels are significantly different in the serum of patients with psoriasis compared to healthy individuals.
