Doctors Without Borders is commemorating the fourth anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine with a photo exhibition of award-winning Ukrainian photographer Júlia Kochetova[7]. The war in Ukraine has displaced more than four million people who are forced to live in their homes[1]. Médecins Sans Frontières provides medical and humanitarian aid to civilians near the front lines and to those who have been forced to flee, including children and the elderly[6]. The most vulnerable groups include the elderly, young families and people with chronic diseases[1]. The photographic exhibition captures the portraits of these people who are trying to survive in the cities after being evacuated from their homes[7]. More than ten percent of MSF patients with war injuries lost at least one limb, with the youngest affected being only six years old[5].
